dmenu: The Dynamic Menu^
The Dynamic Menu, or dmenu, simplifies the menu selection process. It is especially useful operating on large user-defined lists and as an alternative to bloated application menus.
In practice, dmenu is the default method of launching an application in dwm-based systems. It’s also very popular with other window managers like XMonad, Awesome WM, and i3. But, this functionality amounts to only its most basic usage.
Installation |
The recommended installation process for dmenu involves building it from source with your own customized C header file. |
